Business Spotlight for Monday, July 9th - Crab Orchard Golf Club


Crab Orchard Golf Club is the Carterville Chamber Business Spotlight of the Week! It is also the location of the annual Rotary/Chamber Hurricane Golf Scramble as well as many other tournaments.

The par 70 golf course features Zoysia and Bermuda grass on the tees and fairways with Bent grass on the greens.  COGC is built on the original Ferrell Farm and was opened in 1959.  It is an enjoyable and fun place to play no matter your skill level or age.   With our superb conditioning, excellent greens, and lush fairways….you will be treated to a golf course that you will enjoy playing.  With a convenient location near IL Highway 13, just minutes from Interstate 57, Crab Orchard Golf Club is easily accessible for daily play, a weekend away from the city, or your next outing.  

Crab Orchard Golf Club offers several different categories of membership, and many junior golf opportunities, including junior golf camp and junior golf tournaments.

Crab Orchard Golf Club also offers a full-service dining room/grill area, bar, and club room.

Golf Instruction is also available at Crab Orchard Golf Club and it is a big part of what we do.  Director of Golf, Steve Heckel is recognized a Teacher of the Year by the Gateway PGA and listed as one of America’s Top Instructors by Golf Magazine. 

With our Teaching and Fitting Center, instruction can take place in all weather and features the most up to date computer hardware and software available.

Group and individual instruction is available for adults and juniors.
