Our Carterville Chamber Business Spotlight of the Week is Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home.
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville has been serving southern Illinois since 1930, when William Henry Riggin established Riggin Funeral Home at its former location on West Illinois Avenue.
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home is family owned and operated, by funeral director, Michael "Junior" Burke. Junior, Lori and their two sons, currently reside above the funeral home. Junior celebrated his 37th year with the funeral home on May 15, 2019.
Tiffany Holmes Etherton, a native of Red Bud, Illinois, joined the staff in August of 2007.
Lin Yack Crisco, a native of Carterville, joined the staff in January of 2017.

In 2017, the funeral home underwent a complete renovation of the Front Entry, DVD Room, Main Lobby, and Chapel.
Also in 2017, Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home was selected as the Southern Illinoisan Readers' Choice for Best Funeral Home.
Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home continues the advancement of education by awarding area students the Jack & Jean Burke Memorial Scholarship, in memory of Junior's late parents.
