Meet the Pharmacy Manager & Partner

John Hunter, PharmD 

A native of Southern Illinois, John Hunter grew up in Carterville. Upon graduating from Carterville High School, John moved to Saint Louis to attend pharmacy school at St. Louis College of Pharmacy, where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2017. "I have always been fascinated with the idea that just a few simple molecules can entirely alter a person's physiology. I chose pharmacy because I wanted to make 'big-city healthcare' accessible to the small communities that have given me so much. Nothing excites me quite like having a meaningful conversation with a patient about their health. I am always happy to talk!" In 2018, John and his business partners purchased Tony's and Victor's Medicenter Pharmacies from their previous owners. Since then, they have expanded into six locations across Southern Illinois. 

​John and his wife Jessica, also a pharmacist, currently reside in Marion, Illinois. In his spare time, John enjoys playing with his son and daughter, reading books on a wide variety of topics, running, and venturing off to less traveled destinations with his wife. Some of their favorite spots include Iceland, Saint Lucia, and Indonesia!
