Spring 2013 Electricity Aggregation Timeline
The Carterville Chamber of Commerce is participating in an Exclusive Southern Illinois CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BULK ELECTRICITY BUYING GROUP coordinated by AGE for businesses to save BIG on their electricity bills.
Program Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a Chamber of Commerce Member
- Business must be in Ameren service territory
- If under current contract with another Retail Supplier, contract must be set to expire by Dec. 31, 2013
Spring 2013 Electricity Aggregation Timeline:
- May 31, 2013 DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION OF YOUR BUSINESS
- June 3, 2013 Pricing Negotiated
- June 10, 2013 Contracts Executed, New Rates Begin in July

Carterville Community Day at the Miners Ball Park will be held on Thursday, May 30th.

Carterville is known throughout the area for its high academic standards as well. The school district completed the construction of a new elementary school and a new state-of-the-art high school just opened last fall. Also, coming fall of 2013 will be a new 50,000 square foot Junior High. This, along with the location of one of the nation's top junior colleges, John A. Logan College, makes Carterville the perfect place for families. A four-year university, Southern Illinois University, is also conveniently located approximately 10 miles west of Carterville.
